Dennis Kipperman Community Service Scholarship

Dennis Kipperman passed away at 75 on January 30th, 2018. He was married for 51 years to Myra Kipperman and was a dedicated and proud father to two sons, Fred and Bruce. He loved being a grandfather (to Tate, Beck, Finley, Witt and Blake), card games (bridge and poker), sports (baseball and football), horse racing, story telling (fiction and non-fiction) and a good meal (steak and prime rib).

He was a fantastic bowler with a signature follow-through and a power-hitting softball player in his prime who was also an excellent son, husband, father and grandfather. He was born in Chicago and spent meaningful time in Sioux City and Davenport, Iowa, Tucson, Arizona and Austin, Texas.

While he did not want a ceremony, family asks for donations to be made in his name to Santa Monica College to honor student athletes who do exemplary community service.

For donations by check, please make your check payable to:

The Santa Monica College Foundation

On the Memo Line please write: Dennis Kipperman
